Fan socket completely off the logic board

I just recently replaced the MagSafe DC-In board, but I accidentally took the fan connector's socket completely off of the logic board. Is there a way to avoid buying a new logic board and just solder the connector back onto the board? I cannot afford to buy a new logic board right now. Please let me know what should I do.
