iPhone screen having issues after charging port repair

My iPhone 5s had a difunctional charging port, so I ordered the part and replaced it myself. The port and phone work normally now, but now when I push on the surface and edge of the phone, it distorts like pushing on a plastic laptop or tv screen. How can I fix this? Thanks
