Adhesive: Can super glue be used?

I am trying to do a digitizer assembly replacement on an old 4th Generation iPod Touch and I was wondering if a liquid adhesive, such as crazy glue, can be used in place of the pre-cut adhesive strips. The kit I bought awhile back from another site didn't include them and I don't really have the time to order and wait for one to arrive prior to leaving town for the holidays.

Would really appreciate any insight before I pay for strips online and pray they arrive on time.

Thanks!

Superglue is never a good option even in the absent of all other adhesives..

Using superglue is a rather permanent solution and will make any future repairs extremely difficult. You're nailing the lid on the coffin.

The other issues with super glue is when it dries its not flexible and breaks easy. So if any stress is put on the screen the bottom of the screen will pop up. I would suggest doing it right and get some double sided tape. If it has to be done now go to the hardware store and buy a 3m rubber adhesive #4799 comes in a tube maybe $10-$13 it's a very strong bond plus it's flexible so it will not break under stress.

Superglue has NO PLACE in any electronic item.

Use red tape.
