Damage to components around the battery socket

Ok, I'm trying to repair a galaxy tab 2, 7" that won't charge (before you ask I've checked the usual culprits, and its a new battery). The thing is I didn't install the new battery and I'm pretty sure whoever pried it open knocked one of the components off from by the battery socket (where it attaches to the Mobo). Here's the pic ( http://i.imgur.com/T2u6uXg.jpg ), the part in question is directly below the far right connector (where the ground plugs in).

Can I jump the gap with solder, is there someone who knows the right component to replace with (I imagine it's a cap, the normal photo shows something orange) is there someone who can do this? Or is it easier to just say time for a new Mobo and be done with it?

Thanks

Robert

rbterrey, the component missing is C746 which indeed is a capacitor. Typical issue with Samsung is that they are using their own numbers to identify the parts. The part number for the cap is 2203-002687 and it is a 1.2NF,10%,50V capacitor. I attached a quick image outlining the few components.
