A few days ago I woke up and my phone was working, I went on it then it restarted and showed a black screen with a white apple logo then all off a sudden it just started looping not being able to pass the apple logo screen, I've tried updating my phone via iTunes but still not working and I really don't want to restore it due to important pictures etc, it won't turn on at all without being on charge! Someone help me please

Sounds like a simple battery repair would do the trick! There is a very detailed guide on the iPhone 5 tear-down, I would follow that or check out a you tube video that will guide you through the process.
