My battery is on 100% but wont work unless I keep the charger in. I'm avoiding using it as I don't want it to overheat or ruin anymore, I can't find any solution online ideal any ideas?
Thanks, there is like a sticky oily substance where the battery connects so I don't know if it's from the battery or motherboard? if thats any help, I tried reconnecting the battery but issue still not resolved

Sounds like the battery is faulty and falsely reporting a 100% charge.
I'd try removing and reconnecting the battery, if it looks at all swollen it needs removed asap.
Here's a guide on replacing it in the 7" version but imagine it's very similar:
