Charging Port or Battery problem?

Hi there,

Problem:

The Iphone did not pick up the PC connection or wall charger,

I thought it was maybe software so I updated over Wifi from 8.41 to 9.0.2.

It is now stuck in recovery mode (Connect to Itunes).

But I can't recover cause the phone does not get picked up by PC or wall plug.

Weird thing is, it charges when off? but it charges into recovery mode, then recovery mode drains the battery so its an endless cylce of charge and discharge in recovery mode.

I am thinking its the docking port, or battery or lC chip on logic board.

So any ideas?

Please advise, I have tried the usual things.

Yes, I know it doesn't have to be plugged in, it got stuck in boot loop during update.

Original Cable came with phone.

Screen was replaced.

DFU mode wont work cause no connection is being found at all.

The phone doesn't have to be plugged in to update it. I think it just needs to be over a percentage to upgrade.

What kind of cable are you using?

Has the phone ever been worked on before, are all of the parts in the phone apple original?

You could always try doing a DFU restore but you need to make sure you have a good cable to connect to iTunes. Are you using a MFI certified cable, or can you get one?

Have you tried a different cable, or tested the cable on a different phone to rule that out?

If you are using a PC have you checked device manager to see if the phone is showing up at all?

Any issues before the update, what's the history of the phone?
