changing the plug, on the electric power cable, for the Dishwasher
Hi.
My dad just got my mom a new Dishwasher, and after installing it, we realise that the Plug isn't the same as the old dishwasher had (it was 20+ years old)
The old one had a 5-pin plug (but only 4 of them were in use)
The middle pin of the wall plug is like a L, and if you would look down on the plug, like the images show, the cables would be connected like this;
(Empty - Brown - Yellow/Green - Black - Light Blue)
The new one is a European plug with 2-pins, and like a hole where the earth-pin would be.
So, my question here is;
Is it safe, for the Dishwasher, that I switch the 2-pin plug out for the old 5-pin plug (Cut the new plug of, and put the old one on it) ?
Should i switch the wall plug out instead, so the new one fits the socket ?

Poul Martin Joensen can you post a couple of images of the wall plug and the the one on your Dishwasher? Use this guide iFixitでの質問に画像を追加する方法 for that. Also, what Country are you located in?
