1 What might be causing a dim display?
The screen is difficult to read, even with the dim button not pressed and the device correctly plugged into the car outlet.

The first thing you should try is resetting the display brightness; you can do this by pressing the Dim button. When you hear two beeps after pressing the button, the display has been returned to full brightness. If it doesn’t work, you may need to replace the screen of the SPX 5300 Radar Laser Detector.
