Tried to replace battery, ripped glass screen off front panel

Not really sure what to do from here. Followed the battery replacement guide, instead of pulling up the whole front panel, the suction cup ripped the actual screen off the front panel. Phone still works, just screen isn't secure. Do I glue the screen back onto the phone with super glue and then try again? Google returns nothing for a problem like this, so it must be a rare occurrence. Any help is greatly appreciated

Unibond is a very good glue I've used to secure loose frames in the past, extremely strong and very easy to work with.

I used to use the iSlack on the 5S, but don't do it anymore, especially if the screen has been replaced before, because if the glass pops out and pulls the home button with it, then no more Touch ID, using something like a iSesamo tool is perfect and a lot safer to remove screens.

I usually use epoxy when this happens, super glue should work too. Remove the front housing by prying up the frame, be weary of the cables. then remove all the parts attached to the screen (camera, speaker etc..) and do the sticky work. Give it some time to dry.

super glue will work but is far less than ideal. Over time super glue does not stay bonded to glass well. The loctite gel super glue is a favorite of people that do this often, it stays where you put it better and gives you a little bit of working time before it cures. Don't let super glue (or whatever glue you use) get on the backlight or the edges of the lcd.
