iPhone 4 not charging after dock connector replacement.

I just replaced my iPhone 4s dock connector with a new one but accidentally i think i might have ripped out the 'home button ribbon cable' a little.

Now my phone does visually show me i need to charge but when i do charge, nothing happens (it doens't charge).

I am certain the charging cable is working as it works on my ipad 3.

Help pleaseee :(

The dock connector on an iPhone 4 also has the connections for bottom speaker and home button as you have already mention. If none of these work most likely the charging port is not plugged in. If any of these work but you don't see anything when you plug it in MAKE sure you have the right part and try another one as this one might be defective. Post your results! :)
