MacBook does not want to start

My Macbook 2.26 2010 went into sleep one day without the charger connected.

I tried to wake it up but noting happened

Connected the charger and tried waking it, but noting changed

I turned it of by holding the powerbuton for 10 sec's

Restart with charger connected did not work.

I removed the battery, pushed power, nothing

I connected the battery, SMC reset, pushed power, nothing

I connected the battery, SMC reset, disconnected the battery, pushed power, it started.

(only works very slow without battery connected)

I did shut it down, connected battery, pushed power, nothing

I connected the battery, SMC reset, disconnected the battery, pushed power, it started.

While connecting the artery during startup the Macbook shut down abruptly

Restart means doing the whole procedure again.

Any suggestion what should happen to get my Macbook back on the read again.?

You connected the battery then SMC reset? The reset is disconnect battery and charger hold the power button for 10 seconds ,wait 10 seconds then connect battery then charger then power button. Or it could be the battery going out. The white unibodys rely on the battery for startup from my experience. I would try to get ahold of another battery even a macbook pro battery and try it first if the smc reset fails.

This according to Apple's site is SMC reset and that's how I did it:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

To reset the SMC:

Shut down the computer.

Plug in the MagSafe or USB-C power adapter to a power source and to your computer.

On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.

Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.

Press the power button to turn on the computer.

On MagSafe power adapters, the LED might change states or temporarily turn off when you reset the SMC.

Either way you got the machine back up running right? I SMC reset like that everday makes no difference. You had the battery going in and out of the machine so you did'nt need the keyboard only function of the smc reset.
