Why does My Dad's laptop keep geting stuck on auto repair

My dad's Laptop Stopped Turning on, Well thats What my dad Told me. now i checked it today and it turn on, but a few days ago my Dad Dissembled The Laptop without the proper tools and i Turn it on and I See slight green lines crossing the screen and Does not start up and When you go into Auto Repair, It Will Never finish.
