My click wheel doesn't work

I have an iPod Nano 1st generation. I replaced the battery and click wheel the other day. It will turn on only when moving the lock button back and forth. The display works fine. The old and new click wheel won't work. I can hook the iPod up to my computer and see all the music on it, even play the music on my computer. I'm hoping I don't need a new logic board. Any ideas what's wrong with it?
