Where is the memory card and how do I remove it?
Ok, so I took apart my old broken kindle fire and I only have the motherboard left. Now the problem is that there's a soddered casing surrounding what I believe to be the memory card.

I don't know, I called Amazon and they just told me to hard reset the device
Kindle Fire HD comes with pre-configured memory. There is not memory slot there. If you want to extend its storage capacity, there's another solution with Seagate GoFlex Satellite Mobile Wireless Storage.
Hope it helps.

Soundwave Entertainment, Puru is correct. the memory is soldered to the logic board. There are two memory IC's on your board. The one under the solid EMI shield is the Flash Memory and Flash Memory Controller and under the shield by the copper shielding is the DDR2 RAM. Nothing that can be replaced without the proper tools and skills. Just wondering what you are thinking about with your question.
