white spots in picture like snow screen
the screen is white snow but you can see the picture.

Ron Zeeman, sounds like a DLP chip error. What model is your LG and consider posting an image of what the screen looks like with your question. Replacing the DLP chip and the DMD/formatter board in your TV should fix this.

I had purchase one LG 42" LED TV from Khosla Electronics Pvt. Ltd.(Kolkata Nagerbazar branch) on 9th June 2014. Invoice number is 3324/1415/02145. Make is LG 16108000004328 and Model no is 42LB5610. ATR 405PLVC008415.
from today morning its started showing one white cloudy round shape big dot on screen and by now its become 3 big dots on the same line. I tried to contact you over your both toll free number but failed. Can you quickly acknowledge my mail and give me a solution on the same
I too have a similar problem with my TV, a white bright spot appeared initially which became 3 spots on the same line when I touched that spot. Please help me with this problem.
Same like what Avijit described happened to me today. There was one white spot (nearly 2 to 3 inches radius and its now 3 spots in one line.)
i too have a similar problem, it is waste tv never buy LG products .

Hi guys...
I no whats the actually problem is, its not that major actually the cap of led light of back light panel is off down. Because i have same problem so i add some links of that light of snow screen and second link of off down caps too ..

My LCD TV (42 inch LG 2014 model) has 4 white spots (top-down alignment).I have been given 2 different answers by two different Technicians. One says I need to change the chip board and the other says there is a problem caused by electro-magnetic radiation from wifi system
The same problem is showing in my TV 42LB 5820 model.There are 6 no of bright spots are located in two column at the center of the screen.This is merely 2 years of purchasing. It is really very disappointing. We are paying huge money for better quality but this is total failure.Company is doing serious offence with their customer. I would recommend not to buy any LG product.

It's a common problem with LG tv's. The reflectors on the backlight fall off. I made a video on YouTube on how to solve this under 1$

The solution for my problem was replacement of a part called array. This has multiple circular reflectors for backlight dispersal and these come off and fall down , which creates the bright spots ( I am no TV expert but that is my understanding). I got mine replaced and the problem was fixed. this problem seems to be very common for LG LB series most likely because of inferior manufacturing quality.

How did you replace these arrays
LG technician came with replacement parts (basically strips with circular reflectors and replaced older ones), but it needed disassembly of the panel as the array strips are located right at the back of the panel. Cost was about Rs. 4,500.
Hey I am facing the same problem can u suggest me from where I can fix this problem and a tentative range in what i should pay them. I just have one white bright spot on the display screen.

my lg 42l f6500 ,which is an expensive 3d tv purchased in 03-11-2016, having the same problem with white light patches increasing from one to three now. if i had read this blog earlier i wouldn't have gone for this wretched brand. contacted the lg service and they are already hinting at a huge service charge.
never buy an lg led tv- period.

you've adjust the aerial/antenna/digibox? does it improve as the TV warms up? have you tried retuning?

My LG tv is doing the same thing. Teeny white spots in rows from top to bottom make the screen look crazy blurry. The set is a 42" and is barely 10 years old. Can it be fixed for a reasonable price and where?
