Apple logo blinks on battery insertion, water damaged iPhone.
So after doing what you said (clean with IPA), the screen still flickers on for a split second. If I shine a torch on it then its visible that the lcd and touchscreen work, just the backlight doesn't. Is there anything I could check on the motherboard to fix this?

also the dock connector is brand new, the phone's battery does charge
