I need the sono's 5 speaker repaired.

The speaker sounds as if it has blown. I have not played music very load at all. There is a strange vibration happening when I play music. It sounds muffled and scratchy not as clear and amazing as usual. The louder I turn the music up the worst it gets.

My 4 year old SONOS Play:5 has a whistle that is constant and irritating whether playing music or sitting idle. With multiple attempts to troubleshoot with SONOS support, this ‘known issue’ is not repairable and I now have a $600 piece of e-waste. Any suggestions other than buying another at 30% off (still nearly $500)?

Hello cause, I’m am currently having issues out of my play 5 I’ve tried to hard reset it but nothing works. When I go to plug it up the led light just continuously flashes white non stop and I can not get it to connect. Any ideas?

Is mij ook overkomen. Nu is de play 5 generatie 1 weer kapot (Groen lichtje flikkert morseachtig) trouwens. De eerste keer een kapotte voeding met hetzelfde verhaal. Ik kon een andere kopen. Ik heb verwezen naar gerechtelijke uitspraken dat een consument mag verwachten dat een apparaat dat meer dan € 500,- heeft gekost ruim twee jaar mee gaat. De prijs zakte uiteindelijk naar € 149,-. Die betaald en toen kreeg ik een andere play 5 generatie 1 terug. Die nu weer kapot is. Tja....Sonos, een hype of écht goed spul?

I would give Sonos support a call, they can let you know if it's something they can cover outside of the warranty or they also used to give you the option of swapping it out for a re-manufactured unit for a fraction of the cost.

I called and had some tests followed the phone, they cannot figure out and me neither, so I was told to send to them and pay around $380 to have it fixed. well, I will have to try to have it fixed somewhere or myself, or give up. woo

No sound comes out, if I plug in head phones it works fine

but no sound comes out

sonos say they don’t repair

I have exactly the same issues. Maybe we could swap out the board if we know which one was the problem

I am having identical problem. Only sound from headphones in play 5. Did anyone find a fix?

I have a clicking noise after connect my play:5 to the power for 30 minutes. the sound starts every 4 to 5 seconds and 5 minutes later the clipping sound repeats 2 to 3 times per second.. any advice?

I had the issue with my old Play 5 where the sound started to fade and gradually went altogether. Headphones worked fine. This is a known problem on the play 5 and it is down to a board inside the unit. If you have an old P5 then Sonos will not repair it and the only solution is to replace it. I bought a new Gen 2 Sonos 1 with built in Alexa. This unit is as good as my P5 was and nowhere near the price. It’s worth thinking about.
