Replacement motherboard not outputting image?

Any idea why this might be???? could the board somehow be defective??? I did everything right but i am not getting any image...just the tv recognizes an hdmi but no home screen for the xbox or sound...

Have you reset display settings? If not:

1. Eject any disc.

2. Turn off the console (hold Xbox button for 5 seconds).

3. Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep.
