it is at screen that is telling me to put in a recovery disk an I don't have one

What Operating System is supposed to be in it? Should say on the COA sticker on the bottom of a laptop and someplace on the case of a Desktop?

If it's supposed to have Windows XP in it, I would install Windows 7 if compatible.
