hardward defect but apple said my warranty is void & reject
Hi,i bought an iphone 6 one month ago and after using it for a week, it can't be used anymore i.e. my phone shuts down and a blue then red screen appears before everything went black. i have been leaving the phone in my bag for over one month already since i have got no time to go to a service centre. Until yesterday when i finally managed to bring my phone to a service centre, apple says that since there is a minor scratch on the glass screen, my warranty is void. Only then i know that there is a minor scratch at the edge of the screen (really minor like 0.25cm scratch) maybe due to the phone being left in my bag and got in contact with some sharp object's like my car keys etc.
My point is, it is not my fault that the phone is not working. it is solely apple's manufacturing defect. (that is even admitted by the service centre staff) they say they need to replace my phone since its a hardware defect etc. but since theres minor scratch i have to pay SGD 550 to get it replaced . i am not asking them to repair the scratch but to repair the hardware defect.. i dont mind if they return the phone with that minor scratch but i need to be able to use the phone. what should i do? is there anything i can do or is this already a gone case? please anyone, advise. thank you.
