hardward defect but apple said my warranty is void & reject

Hi,i bought an iphone 6 one month ago and after using it for a week, it can't be used anymore i.e. my phone shuts down and a blue then red screen appears before everything went black. i have been leaving the phone in my bag for over one month already since i have got no time to go to a service centre. Until yesterday when i finally managed to bring my phone to a service centre, apple says that since there is a minor scratch on the glass screen, my warranty is void. Only then i know that there is a minor scratch at the edge of the screen (really minor like 0.25cm scratch) maybe due to the phone being left in my bag and got in contact with some sharp object's like my car keys etc.

My point is, it is not my fault that the phone is not working. it is solely apple's manufacturing defect. (that is even admitted by the service centre staff) they say they need to replace my phone since its a hardware defect etc. but since theres minor scratch i have to pay SGD 550 to get it replaced . i am not asking them to repair the scratch but to repair the hardware defect.. i dont mind if they return the phone with that minor scratch but i need to be able to use the phone. what should i do? is there anything i can do or is this already a gone case? please anyone, advise. thank you.

The blue and red screen I no this is down to screw damage in the 5s not sure on the 6 tho

I would post the phone to them here is a link for warranty check

Set up a service and post them the phone they even set out a pre payed packet to post it in used it 4 times before and got a new for for people no questions ask

Thank you for your reply. Thank god i went to another service centre and my phone was replaced in 1/2 an hour with no questions asked. They only said they need to inspect for water damage as well as to check if the phone has been tampered with. I thought i've lost hope. The earlier service centre was horrible i will definitely file a complain. BTW, the defect description was "Red Screen and NPO". Not sure what it means but i guess it happens to iPhone6 too ;) Thank again

NPO means no power on, that's how Apple categorize failed units.

I would go to a different service center or argue it... I've been to Apple in the past with a broken headphone jack and they've exchanged it on a device that has been repaired multiple times

Thank you very much for your reply. It was based on your suggestion that i decided to give it another try to another service centre. I was even prepared to argue if they give me the same reason again, but fortunately my phone was replaced immediately with no questions asked as soon as they checked my phone and confirm it was Appe's manufacturing defect. Thanks to you i am now using my iPhone6 again ;) Appreciate your help & suggestion.

Fight with Apple if you believe their decision is inappropriate.

I didnt have to. I went to a different service centre this time and i got the phone replaced immediately with no questions asked. I was ready to argue anyway if they were to give me the same excuse again ;) Thank you for your suggestion anyway
