Camera doesn't take photos when shutter button is pressed.

My camera seems to work fine outside of the shutter button when pressed does not take picture. Camera auto focuses an appears to set up to take picture. Could this be an easy fix or should i replace camera? I am getting a error 99 in manual focus.
