Is there any chance of repairing or replacing the battery connector?

When replacing the battery in my Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 the black piece of the battery connector broke in half. Now it doesn't have enough force to hold the pins down to make a reliable connection. The device only works when plugged in. As soon as I unplug, the device powers off. Any tips would be great. Thanks!

That was the 1st thing I tried. It worked for about a month. I ended up soldering the contacts.

if you bought the phone within the past year or two it should be covered under warranty with the company that you purchased it from. speak with them about it

Just fixed mine. Looking around, it seems the Samsung repair depot will solder the contacts (battery and wire connector) together. This will be a reasonable fix until you need to replace the battery again.

My solution was to take a small patch of EVA foam and double sided foam tape just big enough to cover the terminal. Apply this to the top of the battery cable connection. The back of the tablet casing should press on the foam enough to keep the contacts together and the tape will stick to the outside of the tablet battery connector.

Time will tell if this is a reasonable long term solution.

(I wish I could post a pic of this.)
