WIFI and intermittent sim card failure

My son dropped his Iphone5 into water for an extended period of time recently. Once the phone was dry it turned on, but wifi was grayed in settings. we tried hard and network resets but to no avail.

Also, the sim card invalid message comes up ocassionaly but is fixed by a restart

Finally, the front camera and flash are inoperable.
