Can't see anything on the screen
i know the phone is on because I can hear some sounds play when I press a button but there’s nothing displayed on the screen.

This sounds like you have a damaged internal screen resulting in no picture being displayed. This part of the screen is an essential part of the phone and is extremely difficult to replace because finding this part is a hassle. Your best bet might be to just take it to a repair store, or worse case, purchase a new phone.
