Dropped screw onto logic board and it sparked, now dead. Need help ASAP!
Hi,
i was upgrading my MacBook Pro mid 2012 to a 6GB RAM, battery and a 1TB HD.
I installed everything perfectly, after turning it on to restore online install for OS-X software, and the back-up are all not working.
After that I opened the Mac up again to check on everything although during the checkup a screw fell on the logic board and it sparks! So I put everything back together, plugged in the charger ..etc
But, this time it's not working neither! The system or the charger is it showing me the battery status, so I read a post that mentions unplugging the battery and pressing the power to eliminate excess current, unfortunately this didn't work.
I tried returning all old parts this this was just an upgrade and this didn't work as expected because it was after the spark.
So I decided to remove the logic board and re-assemble it just to make sure that all the wires are plugged correctly , and still nothing.
I searched for similar issues but as explained none worked,
If anyone could help out it would be great.
These are the focused pictures I've placed a screw&screwdriver on the area were the spark occurred
These are some focused pictures, couldn't use photo editor because it got pixels.
This is the other Mac thats perfectly fine, the logic board has a difference in some metallic parts are much more brighter then the Mac im working on .... I not sure if that's the problem.

Sadly the image is not very useful, can you take another one this time focusing on the area you suspect is damaged. Make sure its in focus and zoomed in. The higher the image quality will also be very helpful so we can magnify it more to see the components.

Ouch! It sounds like you shorted out something on the logic board. Where did the screw fall near the battery connector?
When you first restarted your system after upgrading things did your system start up and have a blinking question mark? Is that why you went back in.

Sorry the images aren't helpful. I can't magnify them enough to see the needed detail.
