Need to reset camera date when change battery

Why do I need to reset the camera date every time I change the camera battery.? Is there any internal battery that I need to replace? Thanks.

I originally posted an answer that said these don't likely have such batteries. I've since learned differently! However, I was unable to find anything about your specific camera's battery location. If it has one, it's a fairly tightly-guarded secret (or my Google-fu has gotten weak). Might see if a local camera expert might be able to tell you without having to charge for a full repair. I know it's been a while, so my apologies for the previously posted misinformation. I hope you got it all figured out!

画像はE-420ですが、メイン基板を取り外し裏側にリチウムイオン充電池があります。オリンパス機だと似たような位置にあると思います。

刻印は621です。

Good answer! For those of us who don't speak Japanese, here's the Google translation of Shinobu Sato's post:

The image is E-420, but the main board is removed and there is a lithium ion rechargeable battery on the back side. I think that it is in a similar position if it is an Olympus machine.

The stamp is 621.

@dadibrokeit That's wonderful news - how does one get there?

@terrywilcox1795 Teardown information for SLR cameras is notoriously hard to come by. All I could find for this one is a guy who is showing how to replace the power button; not what you're looking to do, but the instructions will at least get you to where you can see the main circuit board that needs to be removed.
