With my previous Satellite laptop, I periodically had to clean the cooling fans of dust, otherwise they overheated and the laptop would automatically shut down to protect the CPU.
I want to be proactive about my new laptop (Satellite C55-5195) and be prepared to do the same cleaning if needed. Does anyone know where I can find a service manual or disassembly instructions?

John Reinardy, Toshiba has forced all sites to remove their service manuals. They have decide to make it extremely difficult for any DIY'er to obtain it through any source. My first recommendation because of this would be to definitely stay away from any Toshiba product. Try this video to see how to tear it down. At least you will see where the fan is. Once you start on the repair, make a guide and post it on ifixit so we can assist others with their Toshiba. Hope this helps, good luck.
