LCD Won't Stay On

When the device is plugged in it turns on as it should. It briefly displays the Apple logo but quickly turns off the LCD.

The drive remains on, verified by connecting to PC, but LCD does not display an image.

At one point it seemed as if tilting it had an effect on the display not functioning.

I have cleaned the motherboard thoroughly twice with no success.

Could there be corrosion under the soldered on EMI shield causing this? It's the only area I didn't expose to clean...

Display is good and fully functional, tested with another device.
