Why isn't my battery charging?
I put my charger in my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 tablet to charge it up last night and it keeps saying it isn't charging. It has the charging icon but has a red cross even if i take the charger out. What do I do?
Emily Denton, I'd suggest that you plug the charger in, then hold volume up and down buttons down at same time for about 10 seconds and release after. Your boot up screen should come on and your battery should be low. Turn your device off and let it charge normally. Hope this helps, good luck.

This worked on mine screen went black but loaded like a reboot and my battery is now charging
Wow! Thank you so much for the tip <3
new battery from service center for Galaxy Tab 3 but charging problem is even worse. what in the world?
Worked for mine! Awesome! Thank you! :)
Will this method get rid of all my apps and files?
I opened the tablet up, disconnected the battery wire (just used a small blunt object underneath and popped it up), took the battery out and waited a minute. Put the battery back in, connected the wire back on, put the backing back on the tablet and plugged it in. It worked. There are tutorials on youtube on how to replace the battery. Although I was not replacing the battery, simply just re setting it, that's how I got mine to start charging again. Good luck.
