Dropped now won't turn on

Galaxy tab 3 7.0, it was dropped from a few feet but it was in its case and shows no signs of physical damage. If I plug in the charger it doesn't charge. If I hold down power and the down button it will boot but then shut off after the samsung screen. I've taken the back off, battery, and the logic board out. All of the cables that attach seemed good. By the way, I have had no problems with it charging before this happened. I don't see any damage to the USB port and like I said, I was in a good case when it fell. Could a fall some how hurt the battery? Wouldn't it still turn on if it was plugging in? What do you guys think?
