Replace dock connector charging port then, everything not work

Hi Guys,

My iPhone5 was 100% working perfectly apart from charging port that physically too loosely when connecting with charger plug (I need to place charger in specific angle to let the power in).

I then, watched tutorial, ordered and replace dock connector.

Now, the loosely port is physically fit but nothing from the dock connector are functioned at all! (mic, speaker, headphone, not charge) plus home button does't seem to work as well.

What I did to try to resolve this:

- Replace the old dock connector back

- Hard reset using 'settings' screen menu (as home button stop working from this, I can't do it by holding home button + power)

- order and replace another new dock connector (now I have 2 new dock + 1 old dock)

- confirm that I plug the small round wire back to the logic board which seem to be the only place that let dock connector talk to the system

--------------------------------------

Look like I may broke something during the replacement and hopefully not the logic board. This is the first time I disassembly iphone, I try to be more gentle than when I disassembly PC or laptop but look like I'm not patient enough.

I'm really feeling so stupid and hopeless now. I did order Nexus5 to be my new phone. However, I still wishing that I could relive my iPhone5 back.

From the symptom I explained above, would you guys know what the another cause it would be? I'm happy to do another replacement on everything except logic board (which I understand that the cost is almost equal to buying new phone).

If you guys have a way to identify the broken parts from the given scenario, could you let me know please? I'm trying to letting go but just to be 100% sure that it's cause by logic board broken.

Thanks in advance.

It's not the small round wire, it's the big connector under the metal bracket that are responsible for this.

You may want to upload a hi-res picture of the connectors and board area around them, then can we search for damage.

Thanks millions mate, the big connector under the metal bracket it is.

I don't know why too stupid to missed that part and keep thinking that only battery connector and small round connector are the only part that I plugged out when disassembly.
