frozein but turns on?

My Apple® - iPod touch turns on but the touch screen does not respond when i touch it the side buttons still work and the power button works but i get nothing when i touch the screen please help

Sounds like your digitizer has died. You'll need the part from here and you can follow the guide here to replace it.
