The speedometer needle is hurried at 125 at about 30-35 mp hit starts to work but it goes backwards! Just recently in the snow I got it to flip back to 0 and it worked for a short time but as I was entering the freeway from the on ramp I brought the rpm up to about 5 1/2 on the tach it jumped back to 125 now is working back wards again !!! Help please be for I get pulled over for speeding. 1991 Nissan Maxima

jack mehoff, it is possible that you have a bad speed sensor. This sensor sends the signal to the speedometer and from there a processor sends the signal to the ECM. Your speedometer gets its feed from the same place as the odometer. Typically if you have a working odometer, but intermittent speedometer, then the instrument cluster itself is bad.
