Brand new iPhone 5S (switch from 4), and when i shake then phone, or it vibrates it makes an annoying rattling sound.
Youtube: iphone 5s rattle
There is a ton of videos like that. People are blaming the camera/lens, power buttons, or battery for this.
Please, can anyone find a solution for this?

If you take the two screws out from the bottom and take the screen out without taking flex cables out then you could make the phone vibrate and see what the annoying rattle is

I actually did this just now. And it's 100% near the camera/power, but I just cant check what exactly is the culprit because the power button is heavily build in into (I don't want to risk voiding my warranty), and the camera I can take out, but I'm afraid to reassemble the phone and power it on with/out it.
I tried holding the power tightly when the screen was lifted, and the noise was lesser, but still there. When I gripped the camera module tightly, the noise was pretty much gone. I think that my grip on the camera damped the vibrations from the vibrator motor. But it wasn't from the fact that the module rattles, it is most probably that something (lenses?) IN the camera module rattles.
If so, this is unfixable, apart from removing your camera module :(

If it is under warranty take it in for repair and do not take no for an answer. You might be given a newer model. Just be sure to save your data in I Tunes first.

It's the drum of the vibrator moving when you shake it. I just showed a customer on one of my shop phones that doesn't have a screen on it. Shake the phone and you hear a rattle. When I put my finger on the vibrator and shake again there is no rattle. There's nothing you can do about it unless you don't want a working vibrator then you can remove it.

On my phone, it is the rear-facing camera. I took out the camera and a slight tap on the side reproduces the rattling sound I have been hearing. I can take the spudger tool and lightly push the lens to the side and when I let go it rattles. On my phone, I am 100% sure this is the cause. Though my power button is also visibly loose, when I tap or shake my phone without the camera installed, the rattle is completely gone.
I don't know if replacing the camera would fix it or not. I can't decide if it is worth the money to try. If someone has any experience with a replacement camera, that would be helpful.
