external monitor will show display but on screen it will not
When hooking it up to an external monitor it will show display but on screen it will not show any thing. Plz guide me.

Iftikhar Ali Mir, that means that your computers video circuitry is still functioning. You are having issues with either the inverter circuitry, the LVDS cable or the LCD panel itself. Lenovo made most of their service manuals public, so download the one appropriate for your model. Hope this helps, good luck.

You can also check your RAM cards, this can sometimes cause the problem. Remove both cards and try them one at a time (powering the unit up each time). If one of the cards are bad, simply replace that card.
