As an American living in the UK that has to use transformers for most of my devices I was hoping to see a dual voltage power supply on the XB1. Can anyone shed some light on the brick itself?

I can confirm it. US is 100-127V while EU is 200-240V. Both are 12A * 17.9V = 215W.
Microsoft will release Power Brick as an accessories next year (planned).
Xbox One games are all region free, you can buy one from local stores.

Recently ordered Xbox from US, and can confirm what dogcom is saying. US version has 100/127V PSU. I didn't manage to check for info beforehand, so I have a nice box in my living room with blown PSU fuse :(
Actually it doesn't make a lot of sense for amazon to sell XB1 internationally with US only PSU...
Yes, it's dead for some components, maybe ask for someone to replace those components and fix it, or you have to find an Xbox One EU version power brick.
We gamers in China have purchased more than 100 EU PSUs from taobao.com, those were leaked from Xbox One factories, with a bit scratched exterior, I am using one. But it's hard to delivery to UK from China. ￥308 is about £30, and the express fee is another £30: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230...
So... find someone to fix it, or you can contact Microsoft online support for suggestion. Microsoft sucks, why not 100-250V PSU.

Dogcom can I get one for Australia I have same problem as Josh. Guy at game shop informed me even if I did get some type of coverter/transformer or new brick at 240v the online is set to regions and I would need to register in USA, if so how would this effect me as Microsoft are claiming that games are region free. Josh btw I spoke to Microsoft online and Aust hotline and they said just to go to a gaming electronic store and buy a converter/transformer but it is not that simple as I cannot find one here in Aust.

This guide is for PB-2221-02MX 110V Xbox One US PSU mod to 220V PSU.

Steps:
1) Remove the 110V varistor (blue-circled in picture) wrapped by a heat shrinkable sleeve.
2) Remove R153 and C154.
3) Cut the circuit copper as showed in red-circled, yellow line. Another solution, remove the black bead capacitance under a big capacitance.

Steps:
1) Cut the wire J5A.
2) Another angle, cut the wire J2A also.
3) Remove the 110V varistor (blue-circled in picture) wrapped by a heat shrinkable sleeve. Another solution, you can replace it with a 220V varistor, model 14471.
4) Shorcircuit two points blue-circled in picture.

They sell adapters to use Xbox 360 Slim and older one to use on the XboxOne so i guess it's working like the PSU's i gave you guys in the links. I found on alibaba aliexpress and dealextreme the PSU 220v for about $13 direct from factory but for 10 pièces ans $30 for one pièce on dx.com i took one to try. You guys think the original one is $100 or so ? All those PSU are chinese even with dual voltage...

Hello! I had the same problem but you can actually use the 360 cable that goes from the wall into the powerbrick because it's the same cable.

hello . people. dont buy 3rd party power bricks. just get a voltage stepup / step down converter. that way u can stick with original MIcrosoft power brick thats much better quality.

Gregory. Thanks for posting this. I also found in Israel for example you can actually buy a European power brick that can handle the difference in electricity. However, to buy the original Xbox one power brick it's almost $200. So I'm going to buy the power converter you posted but would it be a tad safer to get the 500 wat one versus the 300 wat one for the Xbox one?

hi there,
i bought the xbox one in America and brought it back to the uk. i didnt know about whay you guys have spoke of. i plugged it in (with a us to uk power adapter) and a fuse blew and all electricals downstairs turned of. so does this mean my power supply is dead and i need to get a european one? is that all i need to do or is there anything i can fix? - ie. what the cheapest option?
Also can i do anything with my warranty in Uk or is it pointless given im in the uk?
if you could send me a link for what i need to purchase id be eternally grateful

you can find power supplies for European countries online. I bought 2 for the one in my office & the one in my bedroom. It runs the same & does not damage the hardware. Both power supply's are authentic MICROSOFT (via the info panel & the xbox logo on the brick) products. As an American living in Belgium, I got mine from a place based in the UK & the shipped it straight to my front door for no extra cost.
