2 Is erasing all content *required* to activate iPhone on Sprint?
I am attempting to activate an older iPhone 4S I own.
Sprint's online system is trying to tell me I must reset all content on the iPhone in order to activate it. I *can't* reset this phone.
Erasing only the network info would be fine.
Is it absolutely required that the phone be reset to achieve a cellular connection?
Yes it is required.
