Your system uses PC2-5300 DDR2 667 MHz

To understand how memory is classified review this writeup from Crucial.

Here's the modules you would need Crucials' memory you can also use others.

While you could use faster modules you won't really gain any performance improvement for the added costs.

Make sure your EFI firmware is unto date EFI & SMC firmware updates for Intel-based Macs

Dan thanks a lot.

Then I own 2 sticks of ram pc2 6400S (I do not have to buy). Putting them in my mac I do not create any damage hardware only problem is the one that goes to a lower speed? Thanks

The systems I/O speed is the limit not the memories. Here's a little deeper writeup on DDR2 memory. Review it and compare your memory to it to make sure your OK here. When over spec'ing memory, it's like driving, the speed limit of the road is the limit, not what the car could do that's driving on it.

Dan take care and remember:

"Higher-speed DDR2 DIMMs are compatible with lower-speed DDR2 DIMMs although the motherboard or CPU memory controller will be bound to the limits of the lower-performance modules." WIKIPEDIA.

Luigi - Not following you here? "The systems I/O speed is the limit not the memories" statement is the same here. Are you now talking about mixing modules (different speed) or just using higher speed DIMMs? The point I made was the I/O limit here is the system not the DIMM (which ever you use). So the higher speed DIMMs won't run faster here. As to mixing I typically shy away from doing it. I've had to many odd behavior issues that seam to go away with matched modules (any speed).

In any case, if this answered your question/s please remember score and to mark it accepted.

RAM Type: PC2-5300 DDR2 Min. RAM Speed: 667 MHz

Standard RAM: 2 GB Maximum RAM: 6 GB*

Details: 2 GB installed as two 1 GB modules. No slots free.

*Apple officially supports a maximum of 4 GB of RAM but third-parties have been able to upgrade the system to 6 GB of RAM using one 2 GB and one 4 GB memory module.
