Does it matter which direction this piece goes on the logic board?

Hi iFixit Team & Members!

I took an ipod touch 4th gen apart to replace the battery. The bottom portion of the logic board was corroded, so I cleaned it with alcohol. I found this broken piece inside (outlined in red). Does it matter which direction it is put back on?

Thanks in advance for any advice, suggestions, or help.
