Can I change the logic board to another one?

Hello

I have a MacBook Pro 13" from mid 2010 with a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo CPU. I want to hear, if I can change the logic board in it, only the logic board, to a logic board from a MacBook Pro 13" from mid 2012 with a better CPU - this one: " Unibody Mid 2012のロジックボードの交換

So that I'll keep my hard drive, batteri and so on?

Best regards, Mikkel

Based on compatibility notes, the only direct drop in logic board is the faster 2.66GHz Core 2 Duo. This.

However, we love tinkerers, so see if you can make the newer one work. The ports should line up with the holes and the battery and hard drive have not changed since the MacBook Pro 13" was introduced. This is the Mid 2012 board that we have.

I have nearly the same issue like Mikkel. I have a faulty MacPro 13" from 2011. The boards (2011 and 2012) look exactly the same. Do you know if this configuration will work?

best regards

The 2012 logic boards are not direct drop ins with your 2011 MacBook Pro. This is the logic board product listing for your 2011 MacBook Pro here.

The video connector is not compatible so based on that alone I think the answer is no. There may be other incompatibilities - isight camera, airport card. I love tinkering too but I wouldn't try that.
