Computer wont' start up.

This came up on screen for the first time. I can't go any further - what to do? Below is the message:

PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable

PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel Boot Agent.

Operating System not found

Sam, sounds like your hard drive has failed, your system is trying to boot from the next boot device. Try to use a OS, like a Live Linux CD, and see if it boots from your CD drive into that. Check to see if your drive still shows up in the BIOS. Most likely you will either have to try to reinstall your OS or replace your Hard Drive. Hope this helps, good luck.

Hi,

Your laptop is trying all possibilities defined in your laptop BIOS to boot from. This mean your current OS is either corrupted or being damaged by a VIRUS. Reinstall OS in your laptop using a window bootable CD and see if it let you finish the setup if it does than it must be some virus corrupted your previous windows. After windows installation run a antivirus full scan for any remaining possibility of virus in your laptop.
