Bottom case screws for part number 922-7382, 922-7896

I have this bottom case, Im trying to fit a santa rosa/penryn.

but it isnt exactly built for it so the older screws from the original case dont fit.

Otherwise theres not problem for me fitting everything in. (but some holes dont line up, enough do I think)

I just need to know where I can find the screws for this particular bottom case model number.

The bottom case was listed as APPLE Part Numbers: 922-7382, 922-7896.

the santarosa/ penryn screws seem to be a little too thin.

hi, we couldn't fit the logic board to this case some crucial holes don't line up :/ I found out I need part number: 922-8285 case for this macbook. so I'll order it tonight and hopefully have it by monday. return this one I have.

Thank you a lot for the diagrams,oldturkey03. they helped us sort out the screws and will be useful when we get the right bottom ^^

922-7382 is a bottom case assembly for the MacBook 13" and 922-7896 is for the original core Duo and Core 2 Duo Macbooks that have the apple symbol on the command key (the key next to the spacebar.) MacBook (13-inch Late 2006). I attached the screw reference chart for that. As for where, you may try a Google search or check on here. Hope this helps, good luck.

This should be the early 2008, see if that is the one you have:-)

Thank you very much you're a life saver! this will be very hopeful, we didn't keep track of where the screws we took off go.

it says its compatible with my model, from 2006 all the way up to 2009 macbooks? though it doesn't specify product number and leads me to believe that the screws I have should fit this case too. at least for those particular 3mm ones.

My macbook does have the apple logo on the key, its feb 2008 mac 4,1 Im sure.

but, the new case I have doesn't match up with the wholes in the logic board not all.

the main problem is that my boyfriend (who is assembling the mac) says he cant find where the screws go and thinks they are too small and don't fit.

I think we'll just try to fit them with this guide.

but if anyone knows if in fact they use the same screws for all these models that will put me at ease. Thank you again.

Bridget, I do not think that they are the same. I just checked 4 different models during the period between 2006-2009 and they are definitely not the same. I added another image and that is from the early 08, check and see if it looks familiar :-)

Both images the second one and the new one you added are the same but thank you we'll check in about an hour we're going to try again. my macbook does have that curved heatsink though. Thanks a lot for the help we both appreciate it (especially me) I'll let you know if it works out.

Bridget, thank you for accepting my answer. Anyhow, the last image is not quite the same as the second. It does show 922-8303 which are the once for the battery connector. May just be irrelevant but....:-) Best of luck to you.
