Installed Snow Leopard, then updated to 10.6.8; iphoto quit working properly, so put iphoto in trash & custom installed iphoto from old '06 ilife, and then updated that software. Iphoto no longer works at all. Help?

easy fix... reinstall iPhoto from your iLife 11 dvd

guess I could order Lion and also the iLife 11 and install both; that might be easiest in long run; thanks for all your help. Susan

Apple now sells it as an app. Go to the Apps store (in your applications folder) and look for iPhoto or Apps enhanced for OSX, cost $14.99
If you bought it, Apple is obligated to support it and help you get your old stuff back.

Try this. If you've only tossed the old app. your data (images) should still be safe on your backup, and in the iPhoto Library.

Yes, still have photo library; just can't open it; am thinking of doing a clean reinstall of Snow Leopard; what do you think?
Forgot to add that when I try to open iphoto, window says can't open current photo lib. using this version of iphoto. "You have made changes to photo lib. using newer version; please quit & use latest version." Thanks. Susan
don't have one; my understanding is it won't install on 10.6.8 system.
