Computer keeps asking me to power off

I tipped a small cup of coffee onto my laptop keyboard while trying to connect it to a power source.. (>.<... I know, right?)

Luckily, my computer was off, it wasn't connected, and I turned it upside-down immediately to drain the coffee out.

I took it apart, up until the battery (as I didn't have the three-way screwdriver), dried as much of the inside as I could find, and removed all the keys, cleaned, and replaced.

So... the good news is the keys feel like new, and the computer pretty much works.... the only problem is that it keeps popping up the menu asking me to power off as if I was pressing the power button.

What do you think is wrong?.. can I do anything to fix it?

Thank you!

I had a 'professional' take it apart and clean the area near the power button... and it still tries to turn off.

So far, I've also noticed that as long as I'm using the computer, it doesn't try to turn off... by 'using' I mean typing, or touching/tapping the trackpad.

So... I've basically taken to using the computer when necessary, and putting a heavy object on the trackpad when I need to take a break, or walk away so the trackpad thinks I'm 'clicking'.

Clearly he missed a spot, I would bring it back to get this fixed under his warranty.

You need to re-open your system and finish cleaning your keyboard. You'll need to take the system fully apart Upper case teardown Then you will need to disassemble the keyboard it's self. Here's a vid on the process to 15" key board teardown

The other option is replacing the upper case/keyboard assembly
