The back light broke, and replacing the LCD had no effect.

So my LCD on the Galaxy Ace died and the back light was no longer visible, so I replaced both the digitizer and LCD using parts from Amazon, The first LCD I got was visibly faulty just from packaging, so I got a replacement. This one is looking good to I placed in phone and put it all back together, however the back light is still gone and I can only see the display under bright light.

I'm finding it very doubtful that I've managed to acquire 3 back light incapable LCDs.

Has anyone got experience of this or just general tips and suggestions.
