What bout your hard drive from the older xbox 360?

I got the newer xbox 360.The slim and black one. And I thought I could get my original xbox games to work on my xbox 360 by getting a tranfer cable for my hard drive that came from my older xbox 360 version.The white one. The instrutions didnt tell me everything or nothing about installing the 250 model, just removing my hard drive from the xbox 360. I have waited months just to get the transfer cable for getting my regular xbox games to work and so I have memory to install my games in my hard drive. Im not rich and I dont get to use the internet as much for this information. Just at school mostly and the internet is strict there. I need simple clear intrutions so my life can be easer and more injoyable me knowing that my games are available to me. Rights gamers?
