replaced battery and phone doesn't work unless plugged in, no internet
I replaced my 4s battery and now the phone does not turn on unless the phone is plugged into an outlet, and even then the wi fi will no connect so I don't have text, phone or internet
exact same on a 3GS ... plus won't charge above initial charge of 42% over an hour now. Worked most carefully and cautiously. Double checked all steps, verified all connections, inspected for damage with magnification ... no damage.
Hope we can find the cause & solution.

To update.
After several nights of troubleshooting, reading, verifying connections and putting the phone together several times - all with the same result: power button doesn't work, not charging, wifi not found - I decided to put the old battery back in. Low and behold the phone works fine with the old battery, but not with the replacement.
Seems like these systems can be caused by a bad battery.
I've contacted iFixit and am awaiting their reply.
