What causes a 2011 Chevy Aveo to blow the same fuse repeatedly?
I changed a blown wiper fuse and within a week it is blown again.

LeeAnne, if it is only the wiper, it is possible that your motor is defective. It might be drawing to much power and causing the fuse to blow. Of course, make sure that you have a fuse with the correct amperage. you could test the motor with an ammeter and see what the result is. Also, make sure that your linkage is not getting stuck, or is rusting, or otherwise binds, causing the motor to draw to much current.

My nephew had put a slightly smaller amp fuse in. I replaced it with the proper amperage fuse today so wish me luck! Thank you for the help!!
That could be the problem:) Keeping my fingers crossed :)
Well it did it again .... I heard it blow as I was driving. There was nothing special going on ,I didn't use the wipers or anything. I don't know what to think. It's a 2011 Chevy Aveo with a standard transmission. It has a little over 10,000 miles on it is all!!! Changing the fuse again tomorrow and try it again.
If you haven't used the wipers . and the fuse blew. take a look at all the wiring. Include the wiper switch in this check. It is possible that the wire is shortening out. your Aveo should also still be covered under warranty. I would most certainly pay the dealer a visit...
If the wiper get rusted or wear or get jamed, it act as a heavy load to your motor so it consumes high current, hence the fuse will blow. Since your fuse blown after 1 week only may be no problem in your motor. Check your wiper and try to change it.

What else is on the circuit.? Possibly a bad motor or shortened wiring.
