Looks like you got a dud touch-screen on your unit. There's nothing you'll be able to do to get it working without voiding the warranty on the unit.

My advice is to take it back to the place of purchase for an instant swap over. Don't let them take it into a 'repair' process, as you are entitled to an instant swap over within the first 10 days from your invoiced date.
